Lots of good things...

Yesterday was just a perfect day. Actually, I'd have to say the whole week was very nice. Spent some time at the beach... and arranged for a day to take my parents downtown and show them a few houses I'd been looking at. Thursday night, I was doing my daily "real estate" search and happened to come upon a cute row home in Hampden. For those that don't know, Hampden is known as "close-knit, hip, pet-friendly, spunky and walk-able". Hampden is also home to the "Honfest" which occurs every year. Its very cute, and often times, homes are priced much higher then my budget allows. Except for this one. So, we threw it on the list of places to check out while we were all together. What a cute place! Found it Thursday, saw it Friday, put a contract in today.

Waiting to hear about these things is like waiting to hear about the birth of a baby. You try not to sit by the phone, but it's SO hard. As far as I knew, no other offers had been presented yet so mine was the only one on the table, but that is ALL I know. I hope to hear within the next 24 hours.

In other news - Scott no longer works for his father! Beginning Monday he is contracted to the company which his father also works for. This is HUGE! This is a great step. Along with a very nice base salary, he will get a rather hefty commission for products he sells. I am very happy and proud he was finally able to do this. It's something he's deserved for a long time. Hopefully this means things are on the upswing!

This morning we had our last open water swim practice. We all got in the water and ended up treading water for about 5 minutes before we could start. Apparently this is like "Race Day". Well, it really helped me out. I had NO panic attacks and shaved 5 minutes off my total time. I was extremely happy and able to swim using only breast stroke and freestyle - no side stroke!

All in all - no complaints here tonight and I like that. I have one last week off before returning to work and I have nothing planned. It should be a good week.
