The first day of 2009

I'd have to say it started out just right. I slept in until 10am for the first time in a looooong time. Woke up, made a quick breakfast and hit the gym. I thought I'd see a mass amount of people there, however, it was 100x's more crowded yesterday then it was today. Yes, people were joining the gym today, but they really didn't look as if they were actually going to work out. So, I spent 30 minutes on the Eliptical and a fast paced 20 minute run on the treadmill. I had lunch at Outback which consisted of a grilled chicken sandwich - minus the cheese and bacon, and a salad as my side (instead of french fries). Met up with two friends I haven't seen since the beginning of December and finished the night off by having dinner with my parents.

The realization has set in that my Winter break from work is coming to an end. Man, where does the time go! In one way, I'm ready to go back to work. I will have a new student on my caseload when we return on Monday. In another way, I like my lifestyle of getting up at 8 and spending up to 2 hours at the gym, then taking it casual for the rest of the day. After all - who wouldn't!

Ann Marie - Happy New Year.

Oh, I can relate. I have had 2 five day weekends in a row and it is wonderful to sleep in a bit and still get in a good workout. It would be a lot easier to stay in shape without work! Going back to 5 day work weeks and 2 day weekends will be so tough! Art
