My second to last semester in Grad School is ALMOST finished. This has been one heck of a semester. I honestly hope my teachers never catch wind of this blog - or they give me the A before they see it. It's been hellish. My Monday night class is bearable, but not interesting - at least I have my laptop to catch up on some blogging and/or shopping! My Tuesday class should have been interesting, but when you're teaching yourself the topic - it's not. Does anyone know how much Grad School classes cost these days? Well, I pay $2770 a SEMESTER. That's 2 classes. WHAT A RIP OFF. Isn't Johns Hopkins supposed to have a big name? I guess that's what I'm paying for! I forgot. On top of that - they make me pay $3 to park every night I have class downtown - as if they REALLY need that extra $33 a semester. It's one of the few schools in the state of MD that have what I'm looking for. When I graduate in May I will have a Masters of Science in Special Education: Severe to Profound Disabilities along with a Certificate in Autism and Other Pervasive Developmental Disorders.
Monday nights class isn't over until 12/15. However, tomorrow's class is over next Tuesday. Woo hoo!! This is the first teacher I think I've ever had that doesn't get along with me. Or wait, should I say, I don't get along wit her. I suppose that's because she knows I have realized she doesn't know squat and I question it. I always have something to say, or a question to ask. I should know her answer by now, "I don't really know, has anyone in the class ever experienced this?!" WELL, if we HAD, would we be taking the class?!? Not to mention, it's a very Medical class (Medical and Physical Aspects of Disabilities), so wouldn't a medical doctor or someone who knows their shit be teaching it?! I mean, it's only Johns Hopkins...
However, I have made it (almost) with what looks like another two A's. That will put me at a 3.95 GPA and for someone that has never gotten A's in the past - that certainly is a thrill. I'm trying to plan what I'd like to do as a celebration. I'm thinking Scott and I might plan a trip - maybe Amsterdam?? = )
