It's been awhile

So, I realized today - it's been almost 2 weeks since my last post! I've been busy like crazy. The holidays are never fun at my job. I almost think we have the break because WE need it. The kids can't stand to have the time off. We are 8 school days away and counting... can't wait, can't wait. Also, they've just announced we're having the day off for Inauguration.  Baltimore City actually closed schools for this. They don't close for 100 degree heat, but yes, they will close for the Inauguration. So, now we have a 4 day weekend that weekend. Hooray! Maybe I can talk Scott into heading up to Deep Creak for a little vacation.

On other notes, I've finished one of my classes. I almost thought I was going to get a B. I've never gotten a B on my grad school transcript. I panicked. I actually emailed the teacher expressing my concerns a few weeks ago - but not to worry, grades were posted today and I made out with an A! Oh, I also received grant money to pay for my last two classes, so now I only have to work for school until 2010... not 2011!

I think I'm going to take up some time with a running coach. I did some searches online and found some that are certified and close by. I sent out a few emails and a real nice husband/wife team emailed me back. Their email was SO nice, I feel like they are already a good fit. I'm excited. My schedule next semester will be a little more flexible to include more running.

It's hard to believe Disney is only 29 days away!!!!!! Tomorrow we are running 14 and next week is our 20 miler. I can't wait. This time, I'm doing it on the NCR trail, instead of through Columbia. I hear it's flatter and should be a nice run. Hopefully the weather is good. I've enjoyed training through the Winter. The colder weather is much more appealing!

Awesome on your class. Good job. Maybe we can meet up at the Disney expo if you're intersted. That would be fun!

Congrats on the class and finding a running coach -- may want to borrow that name!

NCR is great -- flat, crushed stone trail. Better in summer -- it's almost all shaded. Load up that iPod -- how many trees can you look at?

Is that for the 20 or for tomorrow?
